Proposed by the European Committee, AMR, also known as Adaptive Multi-Rate is an audio format that is intended for voice compression and efficiency in storing voice recordings. This audio format is now widely used as a sound standard in MMS, GSM, and UMTS.

AMR is usually used in storing audio recording on mobile phones because this format is significantly smaller than the other popular format types. If successfully installed on your PC, click the application to run the program. 

Click the “Add files” button to import the AMR file or you can directly drag-and-drop the file to the interface.

If you need to trim your audio, you can use the editing function provided by the software. Do the following steps to edit your audio file.

The imported file is displayed in the list.

Click the “Edit” button on the right side of the file or on top.

The built-in video editor will pop up and with its help, you can do video enhancements. You can adjust the speed and volume, trim, cut, crop, rotate, or flip videos. You can also add effects, subtitles, and watermark while adjusting brightness, contrast, and saturation that will make editing conveniently easier.

For example, you can trim your video as shown below:

1) Click “Add Trim Marker”.
2) Drag the mark as shown below to select the part you want to cut.
If you want to select multi-sections, please repeat 1 and 2.
3) Choose “Keep the selected section” or “Delete the selected section” from “Preferences”.
4) Click “OK” to save the setting.

3.1 Set the output format

1) Click the drop-down menu under the “Profile” field to choose your preferred file format.

2) Here you can click “Audio” and then “MP3”.

3) Choose the quality to “High, Medium, or Low” as per your need.

3.2 Start Conversion

Return to the file list.

Click the big blue “Convert” button to start your conversion. The converted MP3 file will be saved in the default output folder.

3.3 Open the Converted MP4 files

A pop-up window from the program will appear informing you that the conversion is complete. Click “OK” to open the folder of your saved converted MP4 files.
