Product Review of VideoPower RED by Bob

I am definitely a music-savvy person and I watch several documentaries, and I download a lot, so that means I need a powerful engine for my interest in music and media. Before, I use a lot of online converting and downloading sites, and the problem is, it has a lot of ads and it can’t process some videos because of rights, and are blocked. I usually open a lot of search tabs, and open another for my online music downloading, but as soon as I used VideoPower RED I noticed that it has its own search engine in the name of detect. There are five major tools upon opening the app, download, detect, library, record, and convert. Upon clicking detect, a tab will automatically be available and websites like Youtube, Vimeo, or even TED are on the menu, just like the usual Chrome or Firefox. I was in awe that I don’t have to bother opening my usual search engines. So I tapped on Youtube and quickly search for my favourite artist, listened, and copied the URL. Now this is the heart of VideoPower RED, and let me walk you through the process. After I copied the URL, I navigated to the first tool which is the download tool, upon opening, I immediately clicked on “Paste URL” with the + sign in blue space, finally the downloading process starts. In line together with the downloading process is the status, file name, progress, speed, size, and source. Batch downloading I also possible, since I’m a music savvy, so I opened several tabs for my music search on youtube and collected the URLs and pasted it on the batch downloads right beside the Paste URL tab. I’m amazed that it doesn’t limit download into one, and I can actually download multiple media files on one sitting, and to my surprise I never noticed a single video download put to halt due to regional blocking of audiences especially in my country. Another thing is I just want to extract the audio file of the video, so I ticked on the video or audio tool right beside the batch download if I want the video itself or the audio only. After all downloads have been done it will be automatically transported to the completed downloads list together with the date downloaded and source. Unwanted downloads can also be deleted through the trash tool right below the completed downloads list. Right next to the detection tool is the Library, after clicking on it, a portal of media and entertainment is available from the most popular to recommended, and a dedicated independent search tab is also available.

Another accessory of VideoPower RED that comes very useful is the record tool that sits right next to the Library. It has five major tools upon clicking namely region, full screen, around mouse, web camera, and only audio. Upon clicking region, a four sliced view of the screen will appear that automatically detects a selected area to record, and when clicked, a prompt ready to proceed with screen recording will appear, and a film clapboard will initiate countdown for record. Full screen is similar to a region except that it will record the whole screen. A toolbar during recording is available, options like pause and stop, and a switch for system audio and mic are available. Around mouse is also an awesome feature that lets you screen record but focuses on the view where the mouse pointer navigates, tools are also similar with region and full screen. Another fun feature of VideoPower RED is a built-in web camera within the app so you don’t have to open another app just to record yourself. And finally, only audio, it has several selections of file type from mp3 to FLAC to match device compatibility upon export and transport out of the computer.
Finally the convert tool, what I noticed first is that VideoPower RED can actually edit video, and that’s a plus since I don’t really have to open another software to do it. On the center, a button to add or drag files is available on which I dragged off my downloaded videos to edit. Editing can be done through clicking the edit button almost right of the file transported, and a new window will appear filled with editing tools such as trim, or adding texts unto it. On the right bottom, a convert button is also available, upon selecting the dragged file, options from mp4 to WAV are also available.
