Product Review of VideoPower RED by Ben

VideoPower RED has five (5) main parts:
Download
Detect
Library
Record
Convert

Let’s take an in-depth look at each of the parts.

Download
You can access this section by clicking on the download (1) button on the main taskbar of the software.
If you want to download a video from a website, first, you have to copy the URL of the website and then click paste URL (2). The video from the website will automatically download.
If you want to download mutltiple files or batches of URL, you can click (3).
(4) has two options on what you want to download. If you want to download a video from the URL you can click video. But if you only want the audio from the video, click audio.
(5) resumes download while (6) pauses downloads.
(7) deletes downloads and (8) opens the folder directory for the downloaded videos or audio.
If you want to see which videos are still downloading click downloading (9). If you wanna see completed downloads click completed (10) and for videos that you have removed from the list, click trash (11).

Detect
If you wanna access the browser function, just click on detect (1) from the main taskbar of the software.
If you wanna download a video from a certain website, just click the download (2) button below the video. The video will be automatically added to the download queue.

Library
This software has a neat feature that will show you a collection of videos that you can watch. You can access this by clicking on library (1) on the main taskbar of the program.
You can also sift through a wide variety of videos (2) recent, recommend, popular or if you want to be specific, you can use search.

Record
What makes this video editing software unique is it has a record feature. You can access this by clicking on record (1) on the main taskbar of the program.
If you want to record, you can click start (2). This button has a drop-down menu where you can choose what type of recording you desire:
Region – only a selected region of the screen will be recorded.
Full screen – the entire screen will be recorded.
Around mouse – only an area around the mouse will be recorded. You can choose from a variety of dimensions and quality.
Web camera – you can choose to record only yourself. You would need to have a webcam.
Only audio – only the audio will be recorded. You can choose from a variety of formats.
You can also choose which audio input you want by clicking on system sound (3). There are a couple of options to choose from:
System sound – the sound from the computer will be recorded.
Microphone – the sound from the computer’s microphone or an external microphone will be recorded.
System sound and microphone – both the sound from the computer and the microphone will be recorded.
None – no sound will be recorded.
If you want to remove a video from the list, you can click on the specific video that you want removed, and click on remove selected (4). By clicking open folder (5) you can open the folder directory of the download. You can choose to play (6) any selected video and/or convert (7) by clicking on these buttons.

Convert
Lastly, this program has a neat feature where you can do basic video editing. The user-friendly interface allows even the most novice of users to easily command and use the buttons.
If you wanna access this function, just click on convert (1) at the main taskbar of the software. You can add files (2) from your browser and then you can edit (3) them – this opens to a new window which we’ll cover later.
If you want to change the settings of the conversion, you can click on settings (4) where there are a couple of options to choose from. You can open the directory folder by clicking on open (5).
To maximize the video that you are editing, click on (6), to take a screenshot click (7), and to open the directory folder click on (8). You can convert the video by clicking convert (9).
If you want to clear all the files in the queue, click clear task list (10) or if you want to remove just one, click on any file and click remove selected (11).
You can change the type of audio by clicking on (12), add subtitles (13), limit the output size (14) – set it to automatic or custom, or edit (15).
Lastly, you can merge multiple files into one by clicking merge into one file (16).

Video Editing
As mentioned, this screen recording software has a basic video editing toolkit that you can access by clicking edit.
You can trim the video by clicking (1) or the scissors icon, you can adjust the video, aspect ratio etc by clicking on (2), (3) is for editing the video brightness, speed, saturation, contrast, volume, (4) is for watermarking which acts as a digital fingerprint so you can protect your video content from copyright infringement, (5) is for adding subtitles to the video.

Tool
You can access this by clicking on the icon encircled below.
In here, you can edit, audio, add to mobile, add to iTunes.

Language
You can also choose between two languages.

Settings
These settings will not really greatly affect the quality of the video but appeals more on the convenience of the user.
You can tick boxes so that the settings would be modified. You can confirm to quit application, where a popup box shows before exiting. You can enable the run the program when Windows starts so that when you open your computer, the software will immediately open. You can also enable hotkeys.
You can also change download settings. You can exclude the type of media to be downloaded or ignore small-sized videos.
You can also change format settings. Video, audio and clarity. You can choose from a variety of options.
In Record, there is an advanced settings where you can change the recording, mouse style, audio input, advanced video settings, and temporary file settings.
Lastly, you can change the settings on the accounts on different websites.

In conclusion, VideoPower RED is a user-friendly video editing software packed with an awesome variety of tools. Novice video editors and experienced users will find this software handy.
